Swimming Lessons at Marveld Recreatie

Marveld Recreatie uses the ENVOZ system for all lessons. This system places emphasis on the fundamental swimming strokes and a survival component, to promote water safety. The exercises are structured methodically and are based on the child’s developmental level and world of experience.

Swimming lessons at Marveld Recreatie start for children from the age of 5. The first lessons are always given in shallow water to help children become comfortable in the water, enabling them to progress more quickly to the deep pool. Information Swimming Lesson Season 2026/2027

Lesson Days

Swimming lessons are held from Monday through Friday. These are one-hour lessons, once a week.

• Monday: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Tuesday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Viewing Lessons

During the viewing lessons, parents are allowed to enter the pool area and have the opportunity to ask the swimming instructor any questions. It is also important to remember to dress the children in the appropriate clothing for the viewing lesson.

For Diploma A: swimwear, shorts, T-shirt, socks and shoes
For Diploma B: swimwear, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, socks and shoes
For Diploma C: swimwear, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, socks, shoes and a raincoat or windbreaker

Swimming Diploma

During the viewing lesson, you will be informed whether your child is ready to take the swimming diploma exam.
If the instructor has indicated that your child may take the exam, we kindly ask you to once again provide your child’s first and last name, as well as their date of birth, for verification on the diploma.

• November 21 – Saturday
• January 30 – Saturday
• April 17 – Saturday
• July 3 – Saturday

The diploma exam always takes place on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. The side entrance in the hallway leading to the changing rooms opens at 9:45 AM. The exam usually lasts until approximately 12:00 PM.

Holidays and Public Holidays

Swimming lessons do not take place during school holidays and public holidays due to the busy holiday park schedule. The dates listed below are subject to change, but we aim to keep any changes to a minimum.

• Summer Holiday: July 4 – August 30
• Autumn Holiday: October 10 – November 2
• Christmas Holiday: December 19 – January 3
• Spring Holiday: February 6 – February 14
• Easter: March 20 – April 4
• May Holiday: April 24 – May 9
• Ascension Day: May 6 and 7
• Whit Monday (Pentecost): May 17
• Summer Holiday: July 17 – August 29
